If a gentle rainforest stroll sounds too gentle, this is the other option. Eight circuits of high ropes and 13 ziplines run through the canopy at Thunderbird Park, with you clipped into a harness the whole way.
There are 8 circuits with more than 120 challenges at different levels, plus 13 ziplines. The longest zipline runs 120m. Every session starts with a compulsory 30-minute safety briefing.
The minimum age is 8, and children under 12 need an adult climbing with them. Reach height matters: 165cm to the fingertips for the Green, Purple and Red courses, 185cm for Blue and Black. The weight limit is 120kg.
Closed sports or hiking shoes, and comfortable clothes that sit well under a harness, such as shorts or leggings. Courses run in most weather and close only for lightning or strong winds.
Sessions are booked online for a set date and time and paid in full up front. Arrive 15 minutes early. Changes need at least 24 hours' notice, or a $10 rescheduling fee applies.

Thunderbird Park isn't on the published stop list for the Nature Link shuttle, so ask your driver on the day whether they can include it. As sessions run to a fixed booking, lock in your climbing time before you travel.
Not easily. Sessions run for about 3 hours and start at set times that don't line up with the shuttle, so TreeTop Challenge suits people driving up rather than a hop on hop off day.
